On-chain investigator ZachXBT has reported that a user fell victim to an attack on May 16, allegedly orchestrated by the North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group. The user lost approximately $3.2 million in assets, which were then sold on the market. The stolen funds were moved cross-chain from Solana to Ethereum, and on June 25 and June 27, 400 ETH each was deposited into Tornado Cash, a privacy tool used to obscure the origin of the stolen assets. This highlights the ongoing threat posed by sophisticated hacker groups like Lazarus, who continue to target cryptocurrency users.
